East 1st Street already knows heat, buses, and mariachi spill from the plaza. What it lacked was a free after-school acre that treated sky as architecture. Open Lot Youth is that acre. A charity foundation tied to Jimmy Donaldson paid to open it. Local people run it. This website only tells the story.

We do not build a bunker. Two halls take homework, maker benches, and the dinner line when the Santa Ana wind turns mean. Shade sails take the rest. Kids 5 to 17 walk in after the school bell. Coaches, tutors, and kitchen leads already know the block.

Money on this page is foundation money, listed in US dollars, snapshot 30 Oct 2026. Pledged $24.50 million. Given $15.10 million. Still to send $9.40 million. Given so far split: meals $3.80M, coaches $4.20M, family grants $3.10M, campus $2.70M, trips $1.30M. Pre-open build and shade: $5.84M. None of that is a family bill.

Desk staff speak Spanish with caregivers. This site stays English. No language switcher. No tuition. No bank form. If a page ever asked for a card number, it would be a fake — we do not collect one.

MrBeast and Beast Philanthropy names belong to their owners. Open Lot Youth is an independent informational magazine about one Los Angeles campus, not those brands’ official shop.
